Expert of Pakistan, played an important role in Operation Sindoor; Who is Parag Jain, the new boss of RAW

Indian intelligence agency RAW has got a new boss. Parag Jain has been made the new chief of Research Analysis Wing (RAW). Parag Jain is an 1889 batch IPS officer of Punjab cadre. His tenure as RAW chief will be two years. He will replace Ravi Sinha, whose tenure ends on June 30. Parag Jain is currently heading the Aviation Research Center. He is considered an expert on Pakistan affairs.

He has been the SSP of Chandigarh

This research center played an important role by collecting intelligence about the Pakistani armed forces during Operation Sindoor. Jain has previously been the SSP of Chandigarh and has also served as Indian representative in Canada and Sri Lanka. Parag Jain has been posted in Jammu and Kashmir. He has played an important role in the anti-terrorism strategy in the conflict-torn Union Territory. He will take over from Sinha on Monday.

When did RAW come into existence

RAW was established on 21 September 1968. The first chief of this organization was RN Kao. The most important work of RAW is to find out if there is any conspiracy against India in foreign countries. Apart from this, it also carries out secret missions. The Prime Minister himself is in charge of RAW. The RAW Chief gives his daily report to the National Security Advisor.
