Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla has created history by reaching the International Space Station (ISS). He has become the first person from India to reach there. On this historic occasion, he spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi from space.
Shubhanshu Shukla News: A man who emerged from a mong the millions of Indians who once saw the sky from the ground has now increased the pride of the tricolor by going beyond that sky. Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla of the Indian Air Force has now become the first Indian to reach the International Space Station (ISS), and not only this, he spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi from space and said that India looks more grand, beautiful and bigger from above than it appears on the map.
Prime Minister Modi also said in a very emotional manner that even though you are far away from the land of India, you are closest to the hearts of crores of Indians. The ‘Shubh’ in your name has truly become an auspicious beginning for the country today.
‘India looks even more magnificent from above’
During this conversation, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla said that when we saw India for the first time, we found that India looks very grand, very big, much bigger than what we see on the map, when we see the earth from outside, it seems as if no boundaries exist, no states exist and no countries exist.
What is the biggest challenge in space?
We are all part of humanity and Earth is our home. He further said that everything is different here. We trained for a year and learned about different systems, but after coming here everything changed. Even small things are different here because there is no gravity in space. Sleeping here is a big challenge, it takes some time to adjust to this environment.
During this conversation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that we have to take Mission Gaganyaan forward. We have to build our own space station. And we have to ensure that an Indian astronaut lands on the Moon. Your experiences will play an important role in all future missions.
