Jagdeep Dhankhar received a call from someone and a heated argument ensued? What is the inside story of the resignation?

Politics continues over Jagdeep Dhankhar’s resignation from the post of Vice President. He submitted his resignation to the President on Monday citing health reasons. However, it is being said that this resignation is linked to the debate over the cash found at the judge’s house. However, Dhankhar or the government have not said anything officially about this.

According to NDTV report, sources have said that the confrontation started after a call from the Centre, after which the Vice President was left with limited options.

According to the report, the centre of this entire incident was the opposition’s proposal against the removal of Justice Yashwant Verma. When the monsoon session began on Monday, opposition MPs presented the notice. The special thing is that Dhankhar accepted the notice and the House Secretary General was asked to take necessary action.

According to the report, sources said that the Centre did not like Dhankhar’s move. In such a situation, by accepting the opposition’s notice, the government lost the opportunity to take an aggressive stance against the judge and the judiciary.

Citing sources, the report said that the Centre spoke to the Vice President and raised this issue. Dhankhar reacted sharply to this and the conversation turned into a debate. According to the report, after this phone call, discussions had started about bringing a no-confidence motion against Dhankhar. In such a situation, when Dhankhar came to know about this, he himself resigned from the post.

Absence of Nadda and Rijiju

The opposition raised the issue strongly and raised the issue of the absence of Union Ministers Jagat Prakash Nadda and Kiren Rijiju from the Business Advisory Committee. Ramesh wrote, ‘Yesterday Jagdeep Dhankhar chaired the Business Advisory Committee of Rajya Sabha at 12.30 pm. Most of the members including Leader of the House JP Nadda and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju were present. After some discussion, the Business Advisory Committee decided to meet again at 4.30 pm.’

He said, ‘At 4.30 pm, the Business Advisory Committee reconvened under the chairmanship of Jagdeep Dhankhar. Nadda and Rijiju were awaited in the meeting. They did not come.’ The Congress leader claimed that Dhankhar was not personally informed that the two senior ministers were not attending the meeting and Dhankhar felt bad about this and then he rescheduled the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee for 1 pm on Tuesday.

Ramesh claimed that something very serious happened between 1 pm and 4.30 pm on Monday due to which Nadda and Rijiju were deliberately absent from the second Business Advisory Committee meeting.

What was the reason for resignation

In a letter to President Draupadi Murmu, Dhankhar said, ‘In order to give priority to health care and follow medical advice, I am resigning from the post of Vice President of India with immediate effect, as per Article 67 (A) of the Constitution.
